Terrorist camps in 3 clusters of Pak-occupied Kashmir

Facilitated by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), terror camps are being operated in three groups in the Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (PoK) region, sources told CNN-News18 exclusively.

The groups are Manshera, Muzzafarabad and Kotli, sources said, adding that all groups, namely the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Al-Badar and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen , organize camps there.

Manshera cluster has camps in Boi, Balakot, Garhi Habibullah.

The Muzzafarabad cluster has camps in Chelabandi, Shawainala, Abdullah Bin Masood and Dulai. The Pak Army’s 3 POK Brigade coordinates the activities of the Sensa, Kotli, Gulpur, Fagosh and Dubgi camps of the Kotli cluster.

Sources say the camps primarily serve as loaders for launch pads in forward areas.

Forward areas are 2-3 km near the Line of Control (LOC) in Gurez, Kel, Neelum Valley, Tangdhar, Uri Chakoti, Gulmarg, Poonch, Rajouri, Naushera and Sundarbani sectors.

In the camps, youths recruited from Pakistan’s Punjab are being trained in the use of weapons and suicide attacks, senior intelligence sources said.

They are moving just before winter and surface workers (OGW) from Srinagar are working as supervisors, sources said.

The OGWs collect the weapons sent by the ISI via drones.

CNN-News18 previously spoke to a retired ISI officer, who, on condition of anonymity, revealed his plan. According to the officer, the ISI was once again activating its “Kashmir Mission” for its survival and importance in the region.

The officer said the ISI was establishing a new rogue link between LeT, JeM, some pro-Pakistani fighters from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and others with Islamic State Wilayah Hind (ISHP).

The TTP leadership is hesitant to join the new group because it wants peace, but the ISI insists on infiltrating Jammu and Kashmir for “Jihad-e-Azeem”, he claimed.
